Title: Matt Warburton wins Taste of Staffordshire

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Resident Rouge Chef Consultant, Matt Warburton impressed the judges at the 2012 Taste of Staffordshire Awards to win Master Chef of the year! Now in its seventh year, The Taste of Staffordshire Master Chef competition aims to raise standards and develop culinary talent, promote local dishes and produce, and celebrate Staffordshire's distinctive gastronomic appeal.



Launched each January, young chefs aged between 16 and 21 and experienced chefs aged over 21 are invited to submit a detailed three course recipe using seasonal, local ingredients. In May, six finalists for each category are selected and compete in a challenging two hour ‘cook off' at Stafford College. The winners are announced the same day at a gala dinner and awards ceremony held at The Moat House Hotel, Acton Trussell.

During the day, the bar manager will comprise of running a busy café style operation, offering very high standards of service. This area is then a very busy leisure based bar in the evening. The suitable candidate will possess:

Either supervisory or basic managerial experience.

Experience of managing stock and cash.

The ability to drive standards forward.

Experience within either 4 star hotels or a branded operation.
